I'm something of a newcomer to podcasting myself, though I have a few under my belt now. We've also had some pretty interesting people come through our offices and stop long enough to record podcasts. Some folks on our staff have even invented "spotcasting" (a podcast of 1 minute or less). We're off to a pretty good start but, if recent news is any indication, podcasting is about to go bigtime. Seriously. John Edwards is set to podcast.

According to today's Hotline Senator John Edwards will post his first podcast on his One America Committee website next week. The site even bears a message urging visitors to "stay tuned" for Edwards' upcoming podcasts. Senator Edwards himself says, "I'm going to keep utilizing new and different ways on the web to talk about the causes that we are committed to." It's refreshing to see someone like Edwards embrace new ways of using technology to spread a progressive message. We'll definitely stay tuned.
