Ditto Partner Michael Silberman was the guest speaker on a Personal Democracy Forum (PdF) conference call entitled "One Planet, Online: How to Orchestrate a Global Day of Action." He joined up with Phil Aroneanu of 350.org
to discuss how a deft mixture of organizing, online and traditional media, and good old-fashioned storytelling can turn a day of action into a global movement.

In a summary of the call, writer Nick Judd pulls out one of the central ideas of the discussion: "To some, he [Silberman] said, online organizing really means 'list building:'. . . . They help, but. . . alot of times keeping people engaged through action is almost as important to the organization as the actions they're taking."
