Jetset Show Reaches Target Demographics on Their Cell Phones!

March 17, 2007 - 7:52pm

The best part of SxSW, aside from the parties and the swag, are the people you get to meet. So many people are up-and-comers or have already become icons in their specific field. Webvideo has only been around for about a year and a half, so there can’t be any “experts” yet. But there are some people out there doing really creative things and even a few of those are actually making money doing.

Speaking of creative people, two people I met at SxSW who are doing creative things with online video and making some money are Zadi Diaz and Steve Woolf. Zadi and Steve recently moved out to Los Angeles and started producing Jetset Show. Jetset is a weekly show that features trends and other fun videos aimed at a young adult audience.

I had a chance to interview Zadi about Jetset, how she and Steve get their ideas and how their market their show to their audience. Zadi gives us a lot of insight on marketing to this powerful market that is constantly changing. 14 year-olds aren’t the same as they were 10 years ago. They want different things, they are more mature and have access to more money and technology.

Another aspect of the show that I find so amazing is HOW Jetset delivers its content. Most of their viewers watch it on their mobile devices. Can you say first movers? If you’re looking at how to reach a key demographic that loves technology, here are the steps you need to follow:

1) Listen to this podcast
2) Watch Jetset Show
3) Contact Zadi and Steve to figure out how to advertise on Jetset.
