Creative Director

EchoDitto is seeking a Creative Director to help guide our design process and help build EchoDitto a world-class creative department. The Creative Director is charged with determining the best ways for us to visually represent our clients' identities online. It's very much a people-oriented job, involving development of high-level concepts for design projects. It also involves working with internal and external clients, pitching designs, and understanding client needs. At times, we will require you to develop visual designs, and at other times, the Creative Director will be responsible for recruiting and managing designers as well as third parties.

Responsibilities:

Lead creative sessions for project kick-offs
Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy
Build and manage an internal design team
Supervise and inspire the creative team and vendor partners; generate multiple concepts for a campaign or project
Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals
Provide quality control over concepts and projects

What You'll Need:

An exceptional design aesthetic with expertise in best practices designing for the web and a solid understanding of user interface design
Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts or related field or equivalent visual design and management experience required
At least 4 years management experience working with large-scale web sites, e-marketing, and advertising
Ability to hire, supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of the web; must understand Flash and have the ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative interactive solutions
A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process
Print and web design capabilities: must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns
Ability to lead projects from concept to completion. Apply best practices in user interface and interactive design, including image optimization and site mapping
Proficiency with the Adobe CS4 suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
Knowledge of HTML, DHTML CSS and Javascript
Familiarity with popular content management systems such as Drupal & Wordpress
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Experience with popular video editing suites such as Premiere and Final Cut
Familiarity with popular Javascript libraries (jQuery, script.aculo.us, etc.) and their capabilitiesAbility to use design using animation suites such as Adobe Flash and AfterEffects

Technical Project Manager

EchoDitto seeks a talented Technical Project Manager to join our growing client services team.

This position is responsible for client and project management of large-scale, custom web development projects from planning through implementation and maintenance.

What you'll do:

Work with portfolio of EchoDitto clients, stakeholders, web developers, contractors, and third-party providers through all aspects of the client lifecycle, including assessment and strategy development, technology integration, and ongoing campaign/project management.
Develop work plans and other strategic documents to articulate the EchoDitto vision and online strategy for the client.
Develop and manage project related budgets, including negotiating contracts with third party vendors and contractors.
Maintain strong constructive relationship between clients and EchoDitto; identify key client stakeholders.
Develop understanding of client’s internal organizational politics, key staff, and partners.
Conduct regular internal and client project status update meetings.
Analyze and develop email and web metrics.
Oversee and implement grassroots organizing activities over the internet and using new technologies.
Employ effective problem solving strategies with clients and team members.
Manage timely presentation and completion of deliverables and regular status updates.
Remain current on emerging technologies and useful tools and ideas for our clients.
Others duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

Undergraduate degree from an accredited 4-year university or 5+ years of work experience in a related-field.
Previous experience planning and managing website development.
Must love the challenge of managing all the minutia while getting your projects done on-time and under budget.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently (and continuously as needed).
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and perform problem analysis and resolution at strategic and functional levels.
Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
Understanding of internet technology and development processes.

Web Developer/Software Architect

EchoDitto is searching for outstanding web developers to join our team of technology enthusiasts and progressive thinkers. This position will be responsible for developing innovative Web-based tools for progressive online activism and community building. Our software architects work closely with their strategy architect counterparts to develop specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies. Programming, user interface design and database familiarity are all core elements of this position. Dealing with Microsoft technologies is not.
