      The email program run by the Obama Campaign was a brilliant and shining example of success that baffles many small campaign leaders. To some, a victory of such proportion seems like an impossible daydream. However, achieving campaign success is more than just having a compelling cause and creating inspiring content. Rather, it is in large part mathematical — a numbers game.

      Spurred by Frogloop’s article, “Who Says Email’s Dead?”, which highlights the increase of mobile email usage from 2009 to 2010. I reviewed some of the most recent email campaigns I received to see how well the message translated to my mobile device.

      In 2010 70.1 million mobile users (30% of all mobile subscribers) accessed email on their mobile device, an increase of 36% from 2009. more

      As a first-time attendee of the Nonprofit Technology Conference, I was not alone. The conference grew by about 40% from 2010 to 2011, which means that mine was one of approximately 600 new faces. If you were also there, I’m sure you saw one or two of them. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at NTC - from the sessions I attended, to the people that I met. I am already planning to put this conference on my schedule again next year.

      Do you know how to share?

      There has been much debate throughout my career over which sharing tool is the best to use. While people often opt to use Add This or Share This I am convinced that the best tool for the job is one by Social Twist called Tell a Friend. What makes this tool the most valuable in my opinion may not be apparent upon first glance. more
