For the non-nerds in the room, Drupalcon is the central semiannual conference for users of Drupal, our beloved open-source community-powered plumbs-ones-and-zeros-to-do-whatever development framework. Every year, there's a North American conference and a European conference. This year's North American conference will be here in DC from March 4th to 7th! This is thanks to the tireless efforts of developers in the DC region, spearheaded by our friends over at Development Seed. Bunch of good eggs over there.

Anyway! We posted a proposal for a panel discussion! It focuses on Drupal in the Newsroom. We're going to have folks from Mother Jones Magazine and the New York Observer discuss how it is they use Drupal in a strict editorial environment. They'll focus on how well Drupal's concepts of content creation and user roles apply in a news workflow.

Panels and sessions for the conference are currently being voted for! You should register to come! Vote for ours! Vote for piles of other interesting ones! And Come hang out with us while you're here in DC.
