Whatchya gonna do?

March 21, 2008 - 2:20pm

One of my favorite clients through the years here at EchoDitto has been the Clinton Foundation. We've worked with them at their annual conference, helped them launch a book and inspired thousands of people make a commitment to change the world.

This week we helped them with the inaugural meeting of CGI University. CGI U is a project of the Clinton Global Initiative that challenges college students and universities to take on global problems with real, concrete solutions. For us, that meant helping them get those commitments on the web, as well as updating the site to emphasize some of those new commitments.

And... we're in!

August 23, 2007 - 11:47am

New Office! OK people, relax, we made it to Tribeca in one piece. We squeezed all of our stuff into an SUV (carbon offset of course) and cruised down Broadway to the new location. Highlights thus far:

  • We've already stuffed ourselves with Indian food from Salaam Bombay. Harish noted that it was 'the best Indian buffet he's had in New York to date'.
  • I was witness to the setup for a movie being filmed on our street. We share office space with the movie's production company. (No famous people sightings yet.)
  • Per the photo above, Gisele has joined us in the bull pen. Lots of fun for us developers. Probably a mild hinderance to her productivity.

So far so good. Updates in real time as they happen. -yovanoff out.

PDF: TxtMessaging and Mobile Politics

May 26, 2006 - 1:17pm

With a little help from our Washington DC compatriots, the EchoDitto NY office headed over to the Personal Democracy Forum Conference, held last week, to check out some emerging trends in the political-technology space.

You may have noticed that we're a little mobile obsessed around here, so it's fitting that, for me, one of the more interesting break out sessions was TxtMessaging and Mobile Politics.

The session pretty quickly turned to discussing exactly how (and how not) to get a mobile campaign up and running. I knew you were wondering, so I compiled a few of the DOs and DON'Ts for you:

Video on the web: A few best practices

April 11, 2006 - 4:39pm

Video has been on my mind quite a bit recently. Among other things, I've been reading Naked Conversations - where Robert Scoble writes about the Channel9 video blog, a few clients have been creating and posting video content, and Joshua was recently looking for more information and some best practices on posting video to the web as well. I thought I would share a few tips I've learned on how to spruce up your video content and get people watching.
